Acupuncture & TCM Instructor
The art and science of acupuncture is one of the oldest forms of medicine in the world, dating back more than five thousand years. Although its recorded use has been predominantly limited to Asian countries, during the last century acupuncture has gained enormous acceptance in every corner of the globe. Through the insertion of extremely fine needles into the skin, acupuncture gently encourages the restoration of health and well-being. Not only is acupuncture virtually painless, it is also relaxing, enjoyable, safe, and effective in treating practically every ailment.
OBSERVATION APPOINTMENTS ($35): Consultation and treatment provided by a licensed practitioner with student practitioners observing. The primary therapeutic approach used is acupuncture, but patients may also receive therapies such as acupressure, tui na massage, cupping, moxibustion, and lifestyle and nutritional guidance. Appointments generally last 60 - 90 minutes.
SUPERVISED APPOINTMENTS ($35): A treatment from a student practitioner supervised by their instructor and one or more other student practitioners. Herbal Medicine is the use of plant remedies in the treatment of disease. It is the oldest form of medicine known. Now, with the advancement of science enabling us to identify the chemical constituents within these plants, we can better understand their healing powers. Although herbal medicine is the most widely practiced form of medicine in the world, with usage spanning more than 80% of the world’s population, it is classified as an alternative or complementary discipline in the majority of the developed world.
What to Expect: Patients undergo a thorough assessment and are given several therapeutic options in the form of herbal remedies. Remedies may include teas, tinctures, capsules, creams and more. Initial sessions generally take 90 minutes. The consultation is free and patients only need to cover the cost of herbal remedies.
OBSERVATION APPOINTMENT (FREE): A 60 - 90 minute western herbal medicine consultation lead by an instructor with student practitioners observing via Zoom. The consultation itself is free, but any herbal medicines dispensed will come at a cost to the patient.
SUPERVISED APPOINTMENT (FREE): A 60 - 90 minute western herbal medicine consultation with a senior student while their instructor and several other students observe via Zoom or In person. The consultation itself is free, but any herbal medicines dispensed will come at a cost to the patient.

Nutrition can be the cornerstone of any healthy lifestyle. Through the foods that we eat, and ultimately don’t eat, we can influence our health in tremendous ways. Holistic Nutrition is not calorie-counting, measuring grams of fats and carbohydrates, or applying concepts of the Food Pyramid. It involves deeply exploring the health of an individual and using wholesome foods to maintain or improve health.
What to Expect: Patients undergo a thorough health assessment and are provided nutritional guidance. Patients may be given food suggestions, recommended diet changes and/or be given complete meal plans. Initial sessions generally take about 90 minutes.
OBSERVATION APPOINTMENT (FREE): A 60 - 90 minute holistic nutrition consultation lead by a nutrition instructor with student practitioners observing via Zoom or in person. This consultation is free.

Michelle Gauthier
After many years of exploring other interests, Michelle discovered her passion in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her upbringing was built upon a strong foundation in natural healing modalities and she is delighted for her future in acupuncture and herbal medicine.
Michelle was introduced to acupuncture while playing 5 years of college volleyball, during which she studied to become a Pastry Chef and then attended Business School. She then moved to the Czech Republic to play professional volleyball for a season. She nearly began her studies at PRC in 2017 before ultimately deciding to move to England for 2 years to work as an au pair and study to be a Vegan Natural Chef at The College of Naturopathic Medicine in London.
Upon moving back to Canada she decided it was the perfect time to start her journey of studying Chinese Medicine and has been loving every step of the way so far.
“The thing I love most about Chinese Medicine is that each patient is seen as an individual and therefore treated as such. There is no ‘one size fits all’ approach, and this is crucial in healing.”

Luke O'Beirne-Kelly
Luke first came to Chinese Medicine ten years ago while seeking to improve his mental and emotional health. The wonderful outcomes inspired him to make a change and share the gift of this medicine with others. Luke aims to help improve the quality of life of those he works with, just as many practitioners from different modalities helped him in the past. He draws on the experience of his own healing journey to help others navigate through the blockages they may encounter on their path to wellness.
In addition to his personal experience with mental and emotional aspects of health, Luke has a strong familiarity with injury recovery and rehabilitation. This is complimented by a keen interest in pain management informed by the bio-psycho-social approach. His background as a professional ski instructor and participation in competitive sports such as soccer, swimming, and freestyle skiing have given him a practical foundation in biomechanics.
Luke’s practice has been influenced by Daoist and Buddhist philosophy, Jungian psychoanalysis, and Transactional Analysis. Luke completed a 3-year program endorsed by the former International Institute of Medical Qigong and received intensive training through the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. He has received additional training in Balance Method acupuncture, myofascial needling, and modern pain science. He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering which he finds balances his more esoteric studies. In his spare time, Luke loves cooking, traveling, and busting moves on the dance floor.

Hi all!
I’m in my second year of the DTCM program. I was first drawn to Traditional Chinese Medicine and its meridian system after studying with an energy healing practitioner for a few months and I love that TCM can address all the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of our being. TCM has taught me a new way to view the world, our bodies and our health through a holistic and cyclical lens.
I’m from the Colorado mountains and when I’m not studying you can catch me soaking up all the beautiful nature the island has to offer whether I’m surfing, mountain biking, hiking or skiing.
I’d be honored to be a part of your healing journey!
